When you want to buy a firm mattress for your bed, you must be prepared to think about a lot of factors. If you ignore any of these factors, you may end up regretting your decision later on.
Best Mattress at Mattress Firm:After all, a good night’s rest depends on your choice of mattress. But how do you choose the best firm mattress? How do you compare the firmness of different models? These are just a few of the questions you should ask yourself before you make the final purchase.
Best Mattress at Mattress Firm
Firm mattresses are often the beds of choice for anyone with back problems or chronic pain. While some sleepers prefer to sink into softer mattresses, those who routinely wake up achy or sore should consider a firmer option that provides spine alignment and support.
However, that doesn’t have to mean getting a mattress as hard as a cement slab; in fact, the best firm mattresses harmoniously blend pain-relieving structure with body-cradling plushness. (Note: the “luxury firm” picks below are designed to have the ideal balance of support and cloud-like cushion.) Snag a neck pain-relieving pillow to complete your bedtime upgrade, and chances are, you’ll enjoy more restful sleep followed by brighter (hopefully) pain-free mornings.

When you’re searching for a firm mattress, think about your needs and preferences. If you like to be cooler during the night, an innerspring bed would make more sense (but keep in mind they’re a bit bouncier). A memory foam mattress, on the other hand, will bounce less, but many people say they get warmer during the night. Firm mattresses are the sturdiest in general, but people who want more support should aim for a thicker mattress (they usually range from 6 to 20 inches).
Whatever your preferences, here are some of the best firm mattresses across a variety of categories.
