The eLuxury Supply Mattress is one of the few mattresses that offers firm support and contouring to your body. Its soft gel-infused comfort layer conforms to your curves, providing a plush feel.
As you lay on the mattress, your weight will gradually shift to the firm base layer, transitioning to a medium-firm feel. This is a nice feature that allows you to sleep on your side without having to worry about your back getting a pounding.

Company
Paul Saunders started eLuxury in 2009 by offering quality bedding out of his garage in Evansville, Indiana. Since that time, he has relied on his seven years of experience in logistics and aviation supply in the military to help the company outgrow the garage, and now offers a wide range of products, including a few different mattresses.
eLuxury defines success as “being generous, prosperous, and kind” and shows that generosity by supporting a number of charities including the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They also haven’t lost their small company ideals and include a handwritten thank you note in each order they fulfill (about 1,500 per day)!
Construction
The 10 inch Gel Memory Foam mattress has a straightforward design relying on a memory foam comfort layer to provide the feel. A thick layer like this will provide the classic memory foam feel of sinking in and contouring to the body.
Cover–The cover of the mattress is made of 100% cotton. It is pretty thin, so it doesn’t interfere with the feeling of the foam layer beneath it. I found it to be pretty breathable, helping with temperature regulation and cooling.
Close up of the eLuxury 10 Inch Gel Memory Foam mattress
Comfort Layer–The comfort layer consists of 3 inches of gel memory foam, allowing the sleeper to sink in a bit to provide pressure relief. This layer will also contour to the sleeper’s body. Memory foam has a reputation for, at times, trapping body heat, possibly causing people to sleep too hot. The gel infusion has been added to help with temperature regulation and cooling of the mattress.
Base–The foundation of this mattress consists of 7 inches of high-density poly foam. This is a firm layer, with a quick response to pressure, that provides compression support for the sleeper. The base also gives the mattress its shape and durability.

Firmness
The initial feel when pressing into the mattress is of the top layer of gel memory foam. It’s a soft layer to provide pressure relief, and as my hand presses into the layer, I can feel the material contour to my hand. When I add more weight and press with both hands further into the mattress, there is a quick transition to the firmer base layer below. This leads me to believe that there will be a big difference in opinion on the firmness of the mattress depending on size and sleeping position.
Pressing into the eLuxury Mattress
People of different body types and shapes will feel firmness differently. Rather than giving just my opinion on the overall firmness level, I enlisted three other people to give their opinion as well. This will give you a better sense of the firmness range you can expect.
Showing the firmness ratings from four testers
As you can see from the chart above, there was a bit of a range of the testers’ opinions on the firmness of the mattress. A score of 6.5/10 is generally considered to be medium firmness and most scores put it in that range, with a slight lean towards the softer side of the scale.
I personally found this mattress to be pretty soft and gave it a 4.5/10 on the firmness scale. In my opinion, most of the feel for this mattress comes from the soft memory foam comfort layer and I didn’t interact much with the firmer base foam layer.

Our Recommendation
Pressure Map
Instead of just describing the feel of the eLuxury 10 inch gel memory foam mattress to you, I wanted to give a visual representation of where someone may feel pressure points while lying on the mattress. To do this, I placed a pressure map on top of the mattress and lied on my back, side, and stomach. On the image below, pressure will be represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Pressure map of the eLuxury mattress
My weight was pretty evenly distributed when I lied down on my back and the pressure map shows low pressure across my entire body. When I first lied down in this position, I got the classic memory foam feel of an initial firmness followed by sinking in a bit and contouring to my body. The thick memory foam comfort layer does have a slow response to pressure, so while I didn’t feel stuck in the mattress, I also didn’t find it to have much bounce.
The pressure map shows increased pressure along my body once I rolled onto my side. This is to be expected, as there is an increase in weight concentration over a smaller surface area in this position. A thicker memory foam layer such as this is generally a plus for side sleepers as it allows the sleeper to sink into the mattress to avoid pressure points forming in areas like the shoulders and hips. One thing I will note is that if you may feel this mattress as a bit firmer if you are a strict side sleeper and a bit bigger, due to the quick transition from the memory foam to the firm base layer below.
Finally, on my stomach, my weight is again evenly distributed and the pressure map shows low pressure. While I was in this position, I did feel my hips sink into the mattress a bit, which can cause problems for stomach sleepers as it puts the back in a bad position. Strict stomach sleepers tend to like firmer mattresses for that reason and may want to avoid thicker memory foam layers such as this.
Motion Transfer
If you plan on sharing your bed with a partner, you will want to know what it will feel like when the other person gets into and out of bed or tosses and turns during the night. This next test is helpful in showing the intensity of motion that is detectable from one side of the mattress to the other.
For this test I dropped a 10 lb steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches, and 12 inches and measured the disturbance on the other side of the mattress. This should be pretty intuitive: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
Motion transfer results for ball dropped from 4 inches, 8 inches, and 12 inches
You can see from the results above the 4 inch ball drop, simulating someone adjusting their position, created a small disturbance across the bed. Memory foam generally does a pretty good job of isolating motion and the eLuxury did pretty well with the small drop.
As expected, the 8 and 12 inch drops show bigger disturbances. These drops represent someone getting into or out of bed and interact more with the high density poly foam base, which causes motion transfer across the mattress.
Sinkage Test
In order to give you a better idea of how someone might sink into the eLuxury mattress, I use four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 lb medicine ball) and place them on the mattress to measure how much they compress the surface.
These different sizes, weights, and densities help to imitate different body parts or different sized people to show how far into a mattress you may sink.
Mattress sinkage with 6 lb, 10 lb, 50 lb, and 100 lb balls
- 6 lb medicine ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
- 10 lb steel ball: 3 inches of sinkage.
- 50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
- 100 lb medicine ball: 6 inches of sinkage.
Edge Support
If you’re going to share your bed and need to use the entire surface area of the mattress, then edge support is something you are going to want to take a look at. Foam mattresses sometimes struggle to live up to the edge in support of traditional innerspring mattresses, so I wanted to have a look at how I would feel near the side of the eLuxury mattress.
Edge support while lying near the edge of the eLuxury mattress
On my back near the side of the mattress, I felt pretty even support from the center of the mattress to the side. I was able to adjust my position a bit and roll around without compressing the edge too much that I would feel insecure in my position.
Edge support while lying on my side near the edge of the eLuxury mattress
Once on my side near the edge, you can see the memory foam contour to my body a bit. When hanging off the side, I did see some compression through the top layer, but that is to be expected from a soft comfort layer such as memory foam.
Support while sitting on the edge of the mattress
Sitting up on the side of the eLuxury mattress concentrates all of my weight over a smaller area. This position is a bit like if I was putting my shoes on in the morning or getting into bed at night and, while maybe not the most important when picking a mattress, shows what more pressure on the edge does to it. There was a good amount of compression through the memory foam layer, but nothing I didn’t expect from a foam mattress such as this.

What is the best rated mattress on the market?
There are several brands of mattresses available in the market. There are many advantages of choosing a high-quality one over a lower-quality one. A high-quality mattress lasts longer than its counterparts, which means that you will not have to replace it frequently. Aside from durability, a high-quality mattress also comes at an affordable price. What’s great about a Casper mattress is that it is suitable for multiple sleeping positions, including back and side sleepers. The firmness level is perfect for stomach sleepers, and its double-layer coils help to provide support and stability for the spine.
A quality mattress is made from a combination of different materials. The foam used in memory foam mattresses is highly breathable, so they are a good choice for those who sweat a lot. The eLuxury mattress is made of a thin stretch knit fabric that is taut to the foam layers below. The eLuxury’s three-layer construction has gel memory-foam at the top and condensed poly foam underneath for a firmer, more supportive feel.
If you’re a heavy person, it’s important to consider a mattress’ warranty. Its manufacturer should stand behind their products, so you don’t have to worry about being unsatisfied with your purchase. Ideally, the mattress should come with a 10 year warranty. Most manufacturers offer a trial period, which gives you enough time to try it out before buying.
What is the most comfortable mattress brand?
The most comfortable mattress is not always the most expensive one. It might be the most expensive one, but it will give you the best sleep. Here are some tips to help you find the right one for you. Ensure that the retailer has a good return policy, as this will minimize the risks involved in choosing a new mattress. It’s also worth taking a test drive. It’s important to remember that the most comfortable mattress is the most customized to your needs.
A well-made mattress should provide pressure relief. This feature is important depending on your sleeping position. If you have a backache or suffer from other pains, you need to find a mattress that has sufficient support and no pressure points. Latex and memory foam are more effective at reducing pressure. They provide the best cushioning for your shoulders and hips. It’s also important to choose a mattress with high thread counts to reduce the risk of sagging.
Casper mattresses are a great choice for those with back pain. Their mattress features an all-foam design, which reduces the possibility of motion transfer. This type of foam is firm enough to support the body, but soft enough to provide a good sleep. If you have back or stomach pain, the comfort layer is also a good option for you. It’s perfect for people who want to switch positions often.
What is the best mattress to buy Consumer Reports?
When it comes to buying a mattress, a good Consumer Reports review can help you decide which type is right for you. A review from a respected publication can make the difference between a mediocre and a great mattress. This guide will help you find the right mattress for you. It will also provide you with helpful information about different mattress types. You can use this guide to narrow down your search.
You must know what type of sleeper you are before shopping for a mattress. If you’re a side sleeper, you’ll need a firm one that gives you pressure relief. A side sleeper will need a softer mattress so that they don’t press too hard into the surface. The same goes for heavy stomach sleepers. A firm mattress with good support will be the best choice for you, and you’ll want a mattress that offers plenty of space for your arms and legs.
Before you head out to shop for a new mattress, consider what features you want in a mattress. Are you interested in pressure point relief, back pain relief, or an adjustable bed? Whether you need a firm or a softer one, a good bed should provide the right support for you. Remember, the best mattress is a good investment. So, don’t be afraid to spend a little extra money.
